Frequently Asked Questions

We often get asked various questions about booking the band.  Below we have listed some of the more frequently asked questions.  If there is anything further you would like to ask, don’t hesitate to contact us.


Can I see Mad Cow perform live?

Mad Cow performs regularly at Irish Murphy’s.  Check our Facebook events page for dates.


Is all sound and lighting equipment provided?

Yes, we bring a full PA and lighting set-up for the band.  Depending on the venue, this may be scaled down to suit your needs.


Does Mad Cow provide music in-between sets?

Yes, we will play appropriate music for our breaks.  Some clients like to provide their own music –  this is something that needs to be discussed prior to your event.


How long does the band play for?

A Mad Cow booking is generally four hours.  We will play 3 x 45-50 minute sets within this time, and are happy to work around speeches, presentations etc. If you require us for longer than four hours, please contact us to discuss.


Do I need to supply food and drink?

We require bottled water and soft drink at all performances.  If your event is out of town, we will require a meal for each band member plus sound and light crew.  Generally, a meal is not needed if your booking is within Ballarat.


Can I select which songs Mad Cow plays at my event?

Our general suggestion is that you give the band a clear overview of your event and allow us to “read the crowd”.  Mad Cow has been performing for over 15 years, and can adjust our set list to suit. If there are certain songs in our playlist that you definitely do (or don’t) want to hear, then I’m sure we can cater to your needs.


Do you have Public Liability Insurance?

Yes, rest assured we are 100% total covered. And just in case you also wanted to know, all our equipment is regularly tested and tagged.
